O Colégio Humboldt, instituição bilíngue e multicultural (português/alemão) localizada em Interlagos (SP), sedia, de 24 a 26 de maio o Humunited, evento da área de língua inglesa que consiste em uma simulação dos conselhos da ONU (Direitos Humanos, Conselho de Segurança, Econômico e Social, Comitê do Meio Ambiente) na qual os alunos serão divididos em seis conselhos durante três dias, com cerimônias de abertura e encerramento no primeiro e no último dia. Os temas discutidos são: “Fim da guerra da Síria”; “Os efeitos da globalização e erradicação da pobreza e promoção da prosperidade em um mundo em transição”; “Redução e prevenção do lixo marítimo e seus efeitos”; “Definição dos padrões legais para intervenção internacional e manutenção da paz”; “Usos pacíficos de energia atômica e a eliminação segura de lixo nuclear”; e “Prevenção do risco de impactos negativos aos direitos humanos por parte de empresas transnacionais”. Além de alunos do 9º ao 12º ano, do DUAL e do ABITUR, o evento envolve 170 estudantes de 07 escolas, sendo uma da Argentina e uma de Curitiba.
Durante os debates, os alunos assumem diferentes papéis, como os DELEGATES (representantes de países que debatem sobre os temas propostos e chegam a resoluções); CHAIRS e CO-CHAIRS (líderes que direcionam e guiam os debates); USHERS (ajudantes na organização nos dias de eventos, realizando diversas tarefas - recepcionistas, distribuição de materiais, arrumação das salas, mensageiros) e SECURITIES (seguranças que mantêm a ordem nos locais onde ocorrem os conselhos).
“O evento proporciona bagagem para a formação do aluno como cidadão do mundo atual, além de fazer com que negocie, argumente, encontre soluções para problemas. Temas atuais, que estão na pauta da atualidade, como guerras, erradicação da pobreza no mundo, energia atômica e lixo nuclear estimulam o aprendizado e envolvimento dos estudantes”, diz Danielle Toledo Pereira, professora e coordenadora de inglês do Colégio Humboldt. “No ano passado, os debates foram produtivos, maduros e sérios, como realmente devem ser; e as resoluções apresentadas pelos conselhos foram surpreendentes. Os alunos e professores ficaram muito satisfeitos”.
O Humunited é um evento que começou a fazer parte do calendário do Colégio em 2016 e vem sendo preparado pelos coordenadores Arne Mebus e Danielle Toledo Pereira e por um grupo de 06 alunos, o Organizing Team. A participação de todos os envolvidos é opcional e todos recebem certificado, desde que tenham um mínimo de 75% de presença.
